Database Repair Services
for Every Database

Repair software fixes most corrupt database files. Some files are past that point. Our database repair services exist for those cases. A certified engineer reads your file at the page level, whether it came from SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Access, SQLite or another engine, rebuilds the damaged structures by hand and sends back a working database you can open and verify. 100% secure with assured data privacy.

Manual Database Repair by Certified Engineers

Our database repair service is manual recovery of a corrupt database file by an engineer rather than by software. The engineer reads your damaged file directly, rebuilds broken structures by hand and extracts your tables into a clean working database. It is the step after repair tools, for files too damaged for any automated scan to finish.

Hardware trouble

Failing disks, bad RAM or a storage array that quietly dropped writes.

Crashes and power loss

Half finished pages left behind when a write was cut off mid stream.

Ransomware and malware

Encrypted or overwritten regions inside the data files after an attack.

Failed copies and bad backups

Interrupted transfers and backups that were already damaged when written.

What our engineers do to your file
1Read the file page by page to map what survived
2Rebuild headers, system tables and allocation maps
3Carve rows from damaged regions back to their tables
4Verify integrity on a clean engine before delivery

Software Fixes the Common Cases. We Handle the Rest.

You need a database repair service when repair software and the engine's own utilities cannot fully read your file. An automated tool works by recognising the structures it expects to find inside the file. When the damage lands on the parts it needs to read first, meaning the file header, the system pages or the allocation maps, the scan stalls or comes back half empty. That holds for every engine, from a SQL Server MDF to a MySQL tablespace to a small SQLite file inside an app. Here is how to tell which side yours is on.

Try self-service first when…

Self-service · runs on your PC

  • The database opens but throws errors on specific tables or queries
  • You need deleted records back from an otherwise healthy file
  • The engine's own utility still runs, such as DBCC CHECKDB, mysqlcheck, Access compact and repair or a SQLite integrity check
  • Your data cannot leave the building for compliance reasons

For SQL Server files, the PCDOTS Database Repair software handles these in minutes and its free trial shows a preview of your recoverable data. For other engines, the native utilities above are the first stop.

Escalate to our engineers when…

Expert service · this page

  • The repair tool or native utility stops, crashes or gives up partway through the file
  • The file header or boot page is destroyed or the file is truncated
  • Ransomware partially encrypted your database or your only backup
  • The engine offers only a lossy repair like REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS and you cannot afford the loss

These files need a person working at the page and byte level. Tell us what happened. The analysis is free.

Get Your Database Repaired in 4 Simple Steps

The service runs in four steps: describe the file, get a free analysis with a fixed quote, approve the manual repair and receive a verified database. There are no upload forms and no ticket queues. The work starts with a conversation and you see what is recoverable before you commit to anything.

STEP 1

Tell us about the file

Message us on live chat or the contact page. Share the engine, the file type, the rough size and the error on screen.

A human replies, not a bot
STEP 2

Free analysis and fixed quote

Send a copy over our encrypted channel. An engineer reports what is recoverable with a fixed quote. Free and no obligation.

Typically within one business day
STEP 3

Manual repair by an engineer

On approval, the assigned engineer rebuilds the damaged structures by hand on an isolated workstation. Your original file stays untouched.

Priority handling for emergencies
STEP 4

Verified delivery, then deletion

You get a verified database plus a report of every recovered object. Confirm your data and we permanently delete every copy.

One Repair Team for Every Database Engine

Our database repair and recovery services cover SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Access, SQLite and a long tail of legacy engines. Not sure what created your file or which version it is? Send it anyway. Engineers read that from the file itself.

SQL Server.mdf.ndf.ldf.bak

Microsoft SQL Server repair

Suspect databases, page level corruption, damaged headers and backups that fail RESTORE. We rebuild tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, indexes and keys into a working database and recover data files without the transaction log. All versions from 2000 through 2025.

MySQL · MariaDBibdata1.ibd.frm.myd

MySQL and MariaDB database repair

InnoDB corruption, "table doesn't exist in engine" errors, crashed MyISAM tables and lost tablespaces. We rebuild table data from ibdata1 and .ibd files even when the server refuses to start and the dump is missing.

Oracle.dbfcontrol files.dmp

Oracle database recovery

ORA-01578 block corruption, damaged datafiles, lost control files and unreadable RMAN backups or .dmp exports. Engineers extract table data straight from the datafiles when the instance can no longer mount or open.

PostgreSQLdata dirWALpg_dump

PostgreSQL cluster and file recovery

"Invalid page in block" errors, missing or damaged WAL and clusters that refuse to start. We read the surviving relation files directly and rebuild your schemas and rows into a clean cluster you can query.

MS Access.mdb.accdb

Access database repair

"Unrecognized database format", files corrupted by crashes or network drops and databases that compact and repair cannot fix. We recover tables, queries, forms and reports from both .mdb and .accdb files.

SQLite.db.sqlite.db3

SQLite file repair

"Database disk image is malformed" and journal or WAL problems in app, mobile and embedded databases. We carve intact pages out of the damaged file and return your rows in a clean SQLite database.

Other Engines.fdb.gdb.dbfmore

Legacy and less common databases

Firebird, InterBase, dBase, FoxPro, Sybase, DB2 and other formats that modern tooling no longer supports. If it stores rows, ask. The free analysis tells you whether the data is recoverable before you spend anything.

100% Secure Database Repair with Assured Data Privacy

A database file is the most sensitive thing a business can hand to an outsider. We built these database repair services around that fact, with the same security posture PCDOTS has applied to customer data since 2005.

Encrypted transfer, isolated handling

Files move only over the encrypted channel our team provides, never by open email attachment. Repair work happens on isolated recovery workstations. Access is limited to the engineer assigned to your case.

Confidentiality on request

For regulated work in healthcare, legal or finance we sign a confidentiality agreement before you transfer anything. Your data is never shared, sampled or used for any purpose other than repairing your file.

Guaranteed deletion

After you confirm the delivered database, we permanently delete every copy of your data. That covers the source file, the working copies and the recovered output. You can request immediate deletion at any point.

Work performed on a copy only Original file never modified NDA available before transfer

Real Recoveries Delivered by Our Repair Team

Three recent cases. Each one is a file that automated tooling could not fully recover. Shared with customer permission. Company names withheld for confidentiality.

CASE · SUSPECT MDF · 12 GB ★★★★★
"Our ERP database went suspect after a storage array failure and CHECKDB wanted to throw away three days of orders. PCDOTS analysed the MDF the same day, told us which tables were affected and delivered a clean database with every order intact."
Marcus R. IT Manager · Manufacturing, Ohio
CASE · RANSOMWARE · MYSQL · 31 GB ★★★★★
"Ransomware encrypted half our file server, including the MySQL data folder for a client project. I assumed it was gone. Their engineer carved the recoverable tables out of the untouched portion of ibdata1. We got back roughly 80% of the data and the report told us exactly what the missing 20% was."
Priya K. Systems Administrator · Legal Services, London
CASE · CORRUPT ACCDB · 2 GB ★★★★★
"Our Access database died after a network drop and compact and repair would not touch it. Twenty years of job records in one .accdb file. The free analysis came back within a day with a fixed quote. Two days later we had a working database with every table and report intact. Zero pressure at any step."

Common Questions About Our Database Repair Services

These are the questions our team answers most often before a case begins. Anything not covered here, ask on live chat. A human answers.

01What is the PCDOTS Database Repair Service?
It is a manual repair service for database files that are too badly damaged for automated software. That covers SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Access, SQLite and other engines. A certified database professional analyses your file, sends a free recovery report with a fixed quote, repairs the file by hand on a copy and delivers a verified working database. SQL Server users also see this service inside the PCDOTS Database Repair software under "Get your File Repaired by Experts".
02How much do database repair services cost?
Every case gets its own quote because the cost depends on how bad the damage is, how large the file is and how fast you need it back. A flat rate would overcharge the simple cases. The analysis of your file is free and the fixed quote arrives with the recovery report before you decide anything. There is no charge until you approve the quote.
03Is it safe to send you my database file?
Yes. Files transfer only over the encrypted channel our team provides. Work happens on isolated recovery workstations and access is restricted to the assigned engineer. We sign a confidentiality agreement on request for regulated environments. Every copy of your data is permanently deleted after you confirm delivery and your original file is never modified because all work happens on a copy.
04What happens if my data turns out to be unrecoverable?
You find that out during the free analysis, before any money changes hands. The recovery report says plainly what is recoverable and what is not, including partial cases where only some tables survive. You only approve the quote if the recoverable data is worth it to you. We do not charge for repairs that cannot deliver the data described in the report.
05How long does a repair take?
The free analysis usually comes back within one business day. The repair itself depends on the file size and the extent of the damage. Your quote states the timeline so you know before approving. If the database is production critical, say so. Priority handling for emergencies is available.
06Which databases and file types do you support?
SQL Server (MDF, NDF, LDF and BAK, versions 2000 through 2025), MySQL and MariaDB (ibdata1, .ibd, .frm and .myd), Oracle (.dbf datafiles, control files and .dmp exports), PostgreSQL (data directory and WAL), Access (.mdb and .accdb), SQLite (.db, .sqlite and .db3) plus legacy engines like Firebird, InterBase, dBase, FoxPro and Sybase. Cloud platforms like Amazon RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL, Neon and Supabase are covered through their dumps and snapshots. Not sure what created your file? Send it anyway. Engineers read that from the file itself during analysis.
07Can you recover my database without its transaction log?
Yes. A missing or damaged log is one of the most common cases we handle, whether that is a SQL Server LDF, PostgreSQL WAL or an Oracle redo log. The data lives in the data files. Our engineers recover those to a consistent state and deliver a database that opens cleanly without the original log.
08Should I try repair software before using the service?
Usually yes. For SQL Server files, the PCDOTS Database Repair software fixes most corruption cases in minutes on your own PC and its free trial shows the recoverable data before you pay. For other engines, run the native utility first, like mysqlcheck or Access compact and repair. If the tool cannot fully read your file, this expert service is the next step. Either way you never pay twice for the same recovery attempt.
