Mailbird Converter Store.db to 15 Output
PCDOTS Mailbird Converter Software reads the Mailbird store.db from a configured profile or orphan copy and exports messages to 15 output targets: PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, PDF, HTML and direct cloud delivery to Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, IMAP. Contacts export separately to vCard or CSV. Standalone Windows utility, no Mailbird application required.
Mailbird stores all email and account data in a single store.db database file inside the Mailbird user data folder. The wizard reads store.db directly: messages, attachments, contacts, signatures, and folder hierarchy. Three input modes, fifteen output targets, and consistent attribute retention across each conversion combination. Capability matrix below.
Three Input Modes for Mailbird Mailbox Data
The wizard supports three ways to load Mailbird data. Auto-detect: reads the configured Mailbird profile from the Windows user data folder. Manual folder pick: browses to an orphan store.db copied from another machine. File pick: load individual exported message files for spot conversion.
Auto-detect: configured Mailbird profile, no path entry
Manual folder: orphan store.db from another machine
File pick: individual message files for spot conversion
Fifteen Output Targets From One Mailbird Load
One Mailbird load yields any of fifteen outputs. Email file formats: PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, EMLX. Document formats: PDF, PDF/A, HTML, CSV, RTF, DOC, TXT, MHT. Live cloud and IMAP: Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, generic IMAP, Exchange. Mailbird contacts export to vCard or CSV as a separate operation.
Live cloud delivery: Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, IMAP, Exchange
Attribute Retention Across Every Combination
Every input-to-output combination retains the same set of message attributes. Headers: To, Cc, Bcc, Subject, Date, Message-ID. Body: HTML and plain text parts, inline images, signatures. Attachments: original filenames, MIME types. Folder structure: Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Snoozed, Starred, custom folders all carry through.
Headers: To/Cc/Bcc/Subject/Date/Message-ID
Body parts: HTML, plain text, inline images, signatures
On Windows machines with Mailbird installed, the wizard auto-discovers the configured profile from the Mailbird user data folder, lists every connected account (name, email address, IMAP host, message count), and reads the store.db directly. No manual path entry, no command line.
Manual Folder Pick for Orphan Store.db Files
Mailbird store.db copied off another machine, or the Mailbird app uninstalled? Use the manual folder picker. Browse to the folder containing store.db, the wizard reads it identically to auto-detect mode. Mailbird app installation is not required on the conversion machine.
Mailbird Contacts to vCard and CSV
Mailbird stores contacts in store.db alongside mail. The wizard exports the address book separately to vCard (.vcf) for import into Outlook, iPhone, Gmail Contacts, or any standards-compliant address book; or to CSV for spreadsheet processing. Name, email, phone, organization, notes all retained.
Cloud Cutover Without Writing a PST or MBOX First
Authenticate to the destination cloud account via OAuth or app-specific password and the wizard streams Mailbird messages directly into the new mailbox. Folder structure recreated on the destination server, attachments uploaded inline, no intermediate PST or MBOX file required for the cutover.
File Naming Patterns and Conversion Log
Output files written under configurable naming patterns: Subject, Date, From plus Subject, Date plus Subject combinations. After each job, a TXT-format conversion log records per-message status (success or failure with reason code), useful for audit trails on bulk Mailbird migrations.
Standalone Windows Tool, No Mailbird Required
Runtime requirement is a Windows machine with .NET Framework 4.5 or later. The wizard does not need the Mailbird application installed on the conversion machine, does not require an internet connection (for file output formats), and does not require any third-party software.

Simple 3-Step Process
Mailbird Conversion in Three Stages
Three-stage workflow regardless of input mode: load the Mailbird profile or store.db file, preview messages and apply filters, pick a destination format or live cloud account. The eleven-step walkthrough later on this page covers the Mailbird-specific details: auto-detect path, manual folder mode, account scoping, contacts export, and credentials passthrough for live cloud destinations.
01
1. Load the Mailbird Profile or Store.db
The wizard auto-detects the configured Mailbird profile on Windows and lists every connected account. For orphan databases or copies from another machine, use the manual folder picker and browse to the folder containing store.db.
02
2. Preview and Apply Filters
Click any message to render it in the preview pane and verify content, attachments and headers. Apply optional filters across To, From, Cc, Bcc, Subject, Date range, or Has-Attachment to scope the conversion. Optional contacts and signature extraction toggles available alongside.
03
3. Pick a Destination From the Catalog
Three categories. Email file formats: PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, EMLX. Document formats: PDF, PDF/A, HTML, CSV, RTF, DOC, TXT, MHT. Live cloud and IMAP: Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, IMAP, Exchange.
Software Compatibility
Mailbird Source Coverage and Output Targets
Source coverage: configured Mailbird profile auto-detect plus orphan store.db manual pick, supporting Mailbird 1.x through current 3.x releases. Destination coverage: 15 output targets spanning email file formats (PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, EMLX), document formats (PDF, PDF/A, HTML, CSV, RTF, DOC, TXT, MHT), and live cloud or IMAP destinations (Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, generic IMAP, Exchange).
Input File Formats / Servers
Specialized and Tested Across Every Common Email Source
The Mailbird converter for Windows reads the configured Mailbird profile auto-detect or manual store.db pick. Whether the data sits in orphan files on a hard drive or behind an IMAP login, the converter handles it natively without needing the original software installed.

What Else the Mailbird Conversion Wizard Ships
Most Mailbird migration jobs need three things sitting alongside the main mail conversion. First, getting account signatures back into the new email client so outgoing messages keep the same look. Second, separating attachments out as standalone files for media libraries or document review. Third, finding the right messages quickly when only part of a profile needs to be exported. The wizard ships all three.
Inspection capabilities are baked into the wizard rather than locked behind a paid edition. Tabs across the preview pane let any operator open a message in three different views: rendered body the way Mailbird displayed it, parsed header block, or raw bytes from store.db. The view modes are useful for finding broken messages before they hit the export step. A standalone inspection tool is also available as Email Forensics Investigation.
Field-level search runs across an entire Mailbird profile and returns hits within a second or two regardless of message count. Match criteria covers sender, recipient, subject text, date window, attachment filename, body text and any header value. Search results can be the basis for the conversion run itself, or can feed a separate operation that harvests email addresses and phone numbers out of headers and bodies into a flat text list.

Why Users Switch to PCDOTS
Five Mailbird Conversion Problems and Their Fixes
Five recurring problems Mailbird users hit when they need to convert, migrate, or back up their data. Each maps to a specific resolution in the PCDOTS wizard. Skip ahead if the situation matches what is currently blocking the Mailbird job at hand.
Problems You're Facing
Mailbird ships no PST, MBOX or PDF exportBeyond the in-app archive, Mailbird offers no menu to write data out as a standard mailbox file. Anyone leaving Mailbird, building a backup, or sharing data with a colleague using Outlook hits this wall immediately. PCDOTS reads the underlying database file and writes whatever format the destination needs.
Address book hidden inside the databaseBoth your messages and your address book live inside the same store.db. Most converter tools focus only on mail and skip contacts entirely, so getting the address book out becomes a second job with a second tool. The PCDOTS wizard handles both inside a single run, sending mail to the file format of your choice and contacts to .vcf or CSV.
Cloud cutover from Mailbird to Gmail or Microsoft 365Re-syncing mail through IMAP between two providers takes hours, breaks if either side disconnects, and frequently loses folder labels or read marks. Authenticating once via OAuth lets the wizard push messages straight from store.db into the new mailbox, with folders rebuilt and flags carried forward.
50,000-message archives that need processing onceManual export at one message per click stops being practical past a few hundred items. A single PCDOTS job covers every account in the profile and every folder under each account, with no message cap and no per-item charges. Each message gets logged individually so you can audit results.
Old hard drive or backup with no Mailbird installWhen the original machine is gone but the Mailbird folder survived in a backup, an external drive, or a disk image, you do not need to reinstall Mailbird to retrieve the data. Drop the recovered folder onto a working PC, run PCDOTS in folder-pick mode, and treatment is identical to a configured profile.
How PCDOTS Fixes It
Runs without Mailbird or any other dependencyThe wizard is a self-contained Windows program. Nothing else needs to be present - not Mailbird, not a Mailbird account, not network access (when writing to file formats). All data comes straight from store.db on disk.
Headers, body, attachments and structure all carry throughEach message in store.db is parsed in full: header fields, MIME body parts, attached files with their original names, and the folder it sat in. Recipients, copy lists, subject, body, signature, inline media, read marker, folder layout and reply threading all survive the trip to the new format.
Direct MBOX to Gmail migration in a single click.Connect your Gmail account inside the converter. PCDOTS pushes the messages straight into your inbox without a download and re-upload step.
One job covers every account on the profileAim PCDOTS at the profile, choose where output should land, and the run handles every Mailbird account in the same pass. Routing settings decide whether output collapses into one file or splits per account. Attachments save alongside, and a text log captures outcome for every single message.
Mail, contacts, signatures all in the same runA single load of store.db covers three jobs at once. Mail goes out as PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, PDF or HTML depending on what you picked. The address book exports separately to .vcf or CSV. Account signatures dump as text, ready to paste into Outlook or Gmail account settings.
Real-World Applications
Six Common Mailbird Conversion Scenarios
The recurring scenarios where Mailbird users reach for a converter cluster around six themes: switching to Outlook for work, switching to Gmail or Office 365 for cloud-first workflows, building a portable backup, exporting contacts separately, archiving to PDF for legal or audit needs, and recovering data from an orphan store.db file. Each maps to the same load-preview-export workflow.
Mailbird to Outlook PST Cutover
When a user moves to Outlook for work or personal use, PCDOTS converts the Mailbird database into Outlook-readable PST files. Each connected Mailbird account becomes its own PST by default, or the run can collapse everything into one merged file. Outlook opens the PST through File then Open and Export, and the inherited folder layout, conversation threads and attachments all appear in the new client.
PST to Office 365Exchange migration
Mailbird to Gmail or Microsoft 365 Migration
For teams cutting over to a webmail-first environment, the wizard skips the file-based middle step entirely. After OAuth sign-in for Gmail or Microsoft 365 (or app password for Yahoo and IMAP hosts), messages flow from store.db straight to the destination mailbox. The cloud account ends up with the same folder shape Mailbird had on disk.
PDF exportGDPR compliance
Orphan Store.db Recovery From Old Machine
Hard drive failures, OS reinstalls and PC swaps leave behind a Mailbird folder with no working application around it. As long as the data folder survived the disaster (in a backup, a disk image, or a recovery service output), the wizard can read it as if Mailbird were running. The folder-pick mode handles this scenario by design.
Corrupted PSTForensic recovery
Mailbird Contacts to vCard for Phone Sync
Phone replacements and address-book migrations are routine reasons to extract Mailbird contacts independently from mail. The wizard extracts the contact table out of store.db as a .vcf file, ready to import into iOS Contacts, Android, Outlook or Gmail Contacts in a single tap. CSV is the alternative for users who want to clean or merge the data in a spreadsheet first.
MBOX to PSTEML to MSG
Mailbird to PDF for Legal or Audit Archive
Compliance officers, legal teams and auditors frequently need Mailbird messages in a fixed, viewable form. PDF output renders each email with body, images and attachment summary on the page; PDF/A meets ISO 19005-1 for archives that must remain readable for years. Bates numbering on each page supports litigation workflows.
HIPAAHealthcare archives
Mailbird Backup to MBOX or EML Archive
Mailbird relies on IMAP servers for storage rather than maintaining a separate local archive, so users wanting a portable, app-independent backup need an export. MBOX collapses each Mailbird folder into one .mbox file; EML produces one file per message. Either works in Thunderbird, Apple Mail, eM Client and most other readers without modification.

Why Customers Choose This Tool
Eight Reasons This Beats Other Mailbird Converters
The eight differentiators below are what separates PCDOTS Mailbird Converter Software from the cluster, refined across 12,000+ tested Mailbird profiles spanning every Mailbird release from 1.x through current.
Output Catalog Wider Than Other Mailbird Tools
Compared head-to-head against BitRecover, Yota, RecoveryTools and CubexSoft Mailbird tools, PCDOTS supports more destination formats from a single license. The list runs PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, EMLX on the mailbox side, PDF, PDF/A, HTML, CSV, RTF, DOC, TXT, MHT on the document side, and Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, IMAP, Exchange on the live-account side.
Two Source Modes for Configured and Recovered Profiles
Some Mailbird tools only work when Mailbird is installed and configured on the same machine; others ignore configured profiles and force users to navigate to the AppData folder by hand. PCDOTS handles both situations from the same launcher dialog - one button finds the live profile automatically, the other accepts any folder path.
Address Book Comes Out Alongside Mail
Other Mailbird tools require running a separate utility to retrieve the address book; PCDOTS treats mail and contacts as two outputs of the same job. Mail writes to whichever format you picked, contacts write to a .vcf or CSV file that imports cleanly into iPhone, Android, Outlook or Gmail Contacts.
Inline Pictures and Attached Files Restored Properly
Attachments live inside the same store.db as the messages that own them. The wizard walks the attachment table, recovers each binary blob with its original filename, and decides where to put it based on the output format - embedded back into the body for PDF, written to disk next to MBOX/EML/MSG output. Inline images appear correctly when the message is opened.
Direct Cloud Migration Without Intermediate Files
There is no need to make a PST first and then upload it. Sign in to Gmail or Microsoft 365 once through OAuth and PCDOTS pushes messages straight from store.db to the cloud server. Folder layout rebuilds on the new account, attachments upload alongside their messages, and the operation completes in a single pass.
Preview Tabs Show What Will Be Written
A tabbed preview area shows each Mailbird message three different ways before it is exported. Tab one renders the body the way Mailbird would have shown it, tab two displays the full header block, tab three shows raw bytes from the database. Auditors and forensic investigators rely on tab three for chain-of-custody verification.
Air-Gap Capable, Mailbird App Not Needed
Operators in regulated environments and isolated network segments can still run conversions. The wizard reads from disk and writes to disk; nothing on the Mailbird side needs to be installed and nothing on the network needs to be reachable when output goes to file formats. Cloud destinations are the only case requiring outbound traffic.
Coverage Spans Mailbird 1.x to 3.x and All Windows Editions
Mailbird store schemas have shifted across versions; PCDOTS recognises the layout from Mailbird 1.x onward and handles current 3.x releases. Profiles ferried from another Windows install read the same way as locally configured ones. The wizard installer accepts Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP and Windows Server 2008 through 2022, both bitnesses.

Trial vs Full
Trial vs Licensed Edition for Mailbird Conversion
Trial and licensed editions are the same executable: identical Mailbird profile detection, identical 15-target output catalog, identical filter and preview behaviour. The only difference is a writer cap on the trial that stops after 25 messages per Mailbird folder. Buying the $99 one-workstation perpetual licence lifts the cap, adds priority engineering support for Mailbird-specific issues, and includes ongoing updates as Mailbird releases ship.
How PCDOTS Mailbird Converter Compares to Alternatives
Three buying tiers exist for Mailbird conversion. The first is dedicated Mailbird wizards auto-detects the profile and reads store.db using its own parser. The second is generic email-conversion suites that recognise Mailbird only as one of many sources and miss the profile-detect shortcut. The third is hand-rolled work through database browser utilities, where operators decode the schema themselves at the cost of speed and folder integrity. PCDOTS positions against group one on three points: more destination formats per licence, a single run that covers mail and contacts together, and OAuth cloud uploads that skip the intermediate file step.

How It Works
Eleven-Step Mailbird Conversion Walkthrough
Standard eleven-step procedure for converting Mailbird mail and contacts to any of the 15 supported destinations, deeper than the three-stage quick guide above. Each step references the corresponding wizard dialog and screenshot. Operator time per profile: 5-15 minutes depending on account count and source profile size.
Double-click the desktop shortcut to start the Mailbird Converter. The first dialog asks where to find the Mailbird data: connected profile or copied folder. Mailbird itself does not need to be running or even installed - store.db is parsed as a static file.
Load the Mailbird Profile or Store.db
Pick Open Configured Mailbird Account when Mailbird is set up on this PC; the wizard finds the profile in the AppData folder automatically. Pick Choose Folder when working from a recovered folder, a USB stick copy, or a backup restore.
View All Mailbird Folders and Accounts
Each account in your Mailbird profile appears in the left tree. Expand to see Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Snoozed, Starred, Trash and any user-created folders, with message counts beside each. Headers above the tree show the IMAP server and email address Mailbird had stored.
Preview Each Mailbird Message Before Conversion
Select a message and switch the preview tabs at the top. The first tab renders the body in HTML, the second lists every header field as Mailbird stored it, the third dumps the message source byte-for-byte from store.db - useful for spotting encoding issues or non-standard headers.
Apply Filter Rules to Scope the Conversion
Open the Filter panel above the message list to narrow what gets exported. Pick specific accounts and folders, restrict by sent/received date window, require attachments, require a flag set, match sender domain, search subject text. The filtered set forms the conversion job.
Configure Optional Auxiliary Extraction
The Extras dropdown next to Export controls what else gets dumped during the run. Tick the boxes for: address book to .vcf or CSV, account signatures to text, attachments saved out as files, harvested addresses and phone numbers to a flat list.
Pick the Conversion Destination
The Export dropdown groups destinations by type. Top group is mailbox files - PST (one or many), MBOX, EML, MSG, EMLX. Middle group is document outputs for printing or archive - PDF, PDF/A, HTML, CSV, RTF, DOC, TXT, MHT. Bottom group is live destinations that need credentials - Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, IMAP, Exchange.
Configure Routing, Naming, and Cloud Credentials
A second dialog asks how to split output. Choose between merging everything into one file, splitting per Mailbird account, or splitting per folder. File naming dropdown selects from Subject, Date, From+Subject and similar patterns. Cloud destinations open the OAuth flow now; IMAP destinations prompt for hostname and login.
Execute the Conversion Job
Hit Save to start. The status bar updates per account: which one is running, how many messages have been parsed out of store.db, how many attachments were saved. A scrolling log appears below; saved as a text file in the output folder, every message gets a row marking it written or skipped with a reason.
Confirm the Conversion Result
A "Job Complete" pop-up appears when the run finishes, with totals for emails written and attachments saved. Trial runs stop at 25 messages per folder; licensed runs process whatever the profile contains. Use the Open Folder button to jump to the output directory, or sign in to the cloud destination to confirm messages arrived.
Validate the Output in the Destination Client
Open the output in whatever client matches the format - Adobe for PDF, Outlook for PST or MSG, Thunderbird or Apple Mail for MBOX, browser for HTML. Pick a few messages from different Mailbird folders and confirm the body, attachments, sender, dates and read marker all came through. Match the per-folder counts against your earlier conversion log.

Quick Definition
What Is a Mailbird Converter?
A Mailbird converter is software that reads Mailbird's data file from disk and emits the contents in formats other applications can open. Mail goes to PST, MBOX, EML, MSG and similar; documents go to PDF, HTML, RTF and similar; live destinations include Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo and IMAP servers. PCDOTS Mailbird Converter Software handles all three categories from a single load, finds the Mailbird profile automatically when Mailbird is installed locally, accepts copied or recovered profile folders when it is not, supports Mailbird 1.x through 3.x, and writes contacts as a separate .vcf or CSV alongside the mail.

FAQs
Mailbird Conversion Reference Questions
Twelve reference questions covering Mailbird conversion: format catalog and output targets (PST, MBOX, EML, MSG, PDF, Gmail, Office 365, IMAP), store.db location, contacts to vCard, orphan database recovery, Mailbird app dependency, and trial limits. Sourced from real user search queries and Mailbird community threads.
How do I convert Mailbird to MBOX or EML for Thunderbird?
Choose MBOX from the Export menu. By default the wizard writes one .mbox file per Mailbird folder; the routing dialog also offers a single merged file option. To use the output in Thunderbird, copy the .mbox files into the Local Folders directory of the destination profile - Thunderbird reads them on next start. EML is the alternative single-message format and opens in Windows Mail, eM Client and most other email clients without further setup.
What formats can I convert Mailbird emails to?
A single load of store.db can be exported to fifteen targets covering three groups. Mailbox files include PST, MBOX, EML, MSG and EMLX. Document outputs include PDF, PDF/A, HTML, CSV, RTF, DOC, TXT and MHT. Live destinations include Gmail, Microsoft 365, Yahoo, iCloud, IMAP and Exchange. The address book exports separately to .vcf or CSV.
Can I save Mailbird emails as PDF with attachments?
Yes - PDF and PDF/A are both available. Each generated PDF shows the rendered HTML body at the top, inline images in place, and an attachment summary at the bottom. The default behaviour embeds attachments back into the PDF; switching to extract mode saves them to a folder beside the PDF instead. PDF/A meets ISO 19005-1 for legal archives, and a Bates numbering option adds page identifiers.
Can I migrate Mailbird directly to Gmail?
Direct delivery to Gmail is supported - no PST or MBOX file needs to be written first. Selecting Gmail from the Export menu launches the standard Google OAuth screen; once consent is granted, the wizard pushes messages straight into the Gmail account. Mailbird folders translate to Gmail labels, attachments upload along with each message, and read/unread plus starred status both transfer.
How do I migrate Mailbird to Office 365?
Microsoft 365 is reached the same way Gmail is - select it from the Export menu and complete the Modern Auth (OAuth 2.0) prompt against your tenant. The wizard then streams from store.db into the chosen mailbox. There is also an admin mode: supply Microsoft 365 admin credentials and the wizard enumerates tenant users, letting you map each Mailbird account onto the matching destination mailbox in one batch.
Can I export Mailbird to a generic IMAP server?
Yes - selecting IMAP opens a credentials dialog asking for hostname, port, encryption type (SSL or TLS), username and password (or an app-specific password where the provider requires one). The wizard then opens an IMAP session and uploads messages, rebuilding folder structure server-side. Tested servers include Dovecot, Courier, Cyrus, Exchange, MDaemon, Kerio and FastMail; any RFC 3501 server should accept the upload.
How do I convert Mailbird emails to Outlook PST?
Start the wizard and use Open Configured Mailbird Account if Mailbird is set up on the PC, or Choose Folder if working from a copied profile. Each connected Mailbird account appears as an expandable node. Tick the accounts and folders you want included, optionally check a few messages in the preview tabs to confirm content. Hit Export, choose PST, decide whether output is one merged file or split per account, and Save. Inside Outlook, use File then Open & Export then Open Outlook Data File and select the PST.
Where is the Mailbird store.db file located on Windows?
The default location on Windows is the local AppData area, inside a folder called Mailbird, with store.db at the root next to the attachment cache, account config files and signature data. Most operators never type the path because the wizard finds it automatically; the only times the location matters are when copying a profile to a different PC for conversion or zipping it up for tech support.
Does the wizard convert Mailbird contacts to vCard?
Yes - the address book is treated as a separate output running alongside the mail conversion. Choose .vcf for direct import into iPhone, Android, Outlook, Gmail Contacts or any other standards-compliant address book; choose CSV when you need a spreadsheet you can edit. Field coverage includes name, email addresses, phone numbers, organisation, job title, web URLs and free-form notes.
Can I read an orphan store.db from an old machine?
Yes - Mailbird itself is not required to be present anywhere. Bring the folder containing store.db across to the conversion PC by whatever method works (USB drive, network share, backup software restore), then in the wizard click Choose Folder and point to the path. The wizard treats it the same way it treats a configured profile.
Do I need Mailbird installed on the conversion machine?
No - PCDOTS is a self-contained Windows program. Mailbird being installed is a convenience that lets the wizard locate the profile automatically, but it is not a requirement. Folder-pick mode reads any copy of store.db, including ones recovered from drives belonging to old or replaced machines. Output is identical regardless of which input mode was used.
What does the free trial convert and how is it limited?
The free download writes at most 25 messages per folder. Everything else runs without limits: profile loading regardless of size, account and folder selection, preview tabs, filter rules, and a partial-output sample so operators can confirm their actual data parses cleanly before paying. Full edition is a one-time $99 purchase tied to one workstation, with perpetual use, ongoing updates as Mailbird evolves, and support from engineers who specialise in Mailbird store layouts.

"Got Mailbird emails into Office 365 in under two hours."
A four-person team moving from Mailbird to Office 365 needed roughly 80,000 messages migrated across all four mailboxes. Mailbird has no in-app option that talks to cloud destinations, so a manual route would have meant exporting each profile, importing through Outlook, and resyncing - a multi-day project. PCDOTS picked up every user's configured profile automatically, signed into Microsoft 365 once per person via the standard consent screen, and pushed messages directly to each destination mailbox. Wrapped up the same morning.

Recovered Mailbird from a dead laptop
My old laptop died unexpectedly. I had a backup of the user data folder including the Mailbird store.db, but no working machine with Mailbird installed. PCDOTS read the orphan store.db from the backup folder identically to a live profile and converted everything to PST. Imported into Outlook on the new machine, every email and contact was there.

Mailbird contacts to vCard worked first try
Phone swap day was approaching and I had spent two evenings trying to get my Mailbird address book onto a new iPhone. The other Mailbird tools I tested either skipped contacts entirely or offered them only as part of a paid upgrade. PCDOTS dumped every contact to a single .vcf file - names, multiple email and phone fields, employer, free-form notes - and the iPhone Contacts import accepted it on the first try. Did the mail-to-MBOX backup right after.
